Local culture consultant

Local Consultant to Culture Programme

The Danish Center for Culture and Development (DCCD) has in collaboration with the Danish
Representation Office in Ramallah (DRO), supported the culture sector in Palestine since 2008. A
new programme phase for 2010-12 is currently under preparation, and DCCD is looking for a local
consultant to assist with the management of the programme. The input will be 30 working hours per
month over a three-year period.

The task for the local consultant will be to:
-Support the Palestinian partners in project management such as project design, implementation, reporting and financial management
-Identify relevant project areas, partners and new ideas
-Monitoring the progress of the programme and report to DCCD in Copenhagen
-Plan Steering Committee meetings
-Facilitate contacts between Palestinian partners and local media

The local consultant will refer to DCCD in Copenhagen and work in co-operation with Danish Representative Office.

Required skills and qualifications:
-Core competence in project management - both in terms of project implementation and monitoring & evaluation
-Strong expertise within financial management - preferably from working with international development assistance
-In-depth knowledge about the arts and culture sector in Palestine
-Fluency in both written and spoken English and Arabic.
-Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently in a results-oriented and flexible manner.
-Permanent Jerusalem ID
